IVC’s strategies are designed to maximize the positive impact of any public relations campaign. Through the two-day workshop, IVC will teach you how to effectively harness the capabilities of new technologies. You will learn how to use NationBuilder to organize communities online; how to effectively target the right audiences on Facebook, and why IVC’s track record of success is built on our ability to tailor messages for different audiences and mediums into well-rounded campaigns.

Upon completion of the program, you will be equipped with new media campaigning skills to improve our political dialogue; encourage nonpartisan information and ideas; and promote open, honest, and authentic discussion.

Program Goals

  1. Develop leaders committed to establishing a broad public awareness about voters’ nonpartisan rights.

  2. Create a network that can be called upon when policy or action disenfranchises voters from the political process.

  3. Leverage innovative use of new technologies to share information.

Leader Principles

  1. To seek improvement in public dialogue by using resources, networks, and knowledge developed in the program.

  2. Learn the modern tools of leadership in order to be nonpartisan and equitable in bringing information and ideas to the public.

  3. To be willing to be wrong and to correct information in an open and honest manner by learning the fundamentals of leadership.

We will be accepting 10 students to

the Spring 2015 Independent Voter Project Chapter Program’s

Leadership in Action two-day workshop.
